Heather Wallis graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Bachelor of Environmental Design Program in 2012, only to return and complete the Master of Interior Design Program in 2017. With 10 years of experience in commercial design, Heather has had the opportunity to work both independently as well as at a handful of Winnipeg’s top design firms where she has had the opportunity to hone her craft. She has worked on small renovations to million-dollar new construction projects, and in most recent years specialised in corporate workplace and higher education design.

Having an affinity for the environment, Heather has fostered a strong focus on sustainable design in her practice. She obtained her LEED Green Associate in 2013 and continues to learn about sustainable initiatives and practices within her field. She understands that design is not only about beauty but its longevity, respect for the environment and creating a sense of place.

Most recently Heather has returned to the University of Manitoba as a Sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Architecture.
